Add your first car

Getting started · 1 min read

Adding a car is a guided flow: basics, specs, photos, price, pickup options, rules, features, extras, description, publish. You can stop at any point, your car is saved as a draft after the first two steps and you can pick up where you left off.

What a car needs to go live

Before a car can be published, three things must be in place:

  1. At least one photo: renters will not book what they cannot see.
  2. At least one pickup option enabled, so renters know where to get the car.
  3. A real license plate.

The publish step shows a checklist with direct links to anything still missing. Everything else (features, extras, a longer description) can be added or polished after going live.

Price and minimum rental days

Each car has its own base price per day and a minimum number of rental days. Fleet-wide layers like seasonal pricing and length discounts live in Settings → Pricing and apply on top automatically.

Adding similar cars faster

Have three identical Picantos? Use Duplicate on an existing car: it copies all settings, pickup options and extras to a new draft. Only photos and the license plate are yours to add, every car needs its own real plate before publishing.

Pausing a car

You can set a live car to inactive or in maintenance at any time; it disappears from search but keeps its history and settings. Archiving is for cars that leave your fleet for good.
