Disputes
Bookings & handovers · 1 min read
A renter can open a dispute on a booking when something went seriously wrong, the car was not delivered, was not as described, or there is a disagreement about charges. The booking is marked disputed and you are notified straight away.
What GoDushi can decide
Renters pay only the reservation deposit through the platform; the rental itself is paid directly to you. That shapes what a dispute can do:
- For problems within the platform's reach (car not delivered, not as described, not roadworthy), GoDushi can refund the renter's deposit and weighs the outcome in your host standing.
- For money that never touched the platform (damage charges, security deposits), GoDushi cannot move money, we review the case, press both sides for a fair outcome and record the result.
How to respond
You respond once, with your side of the story and up to eight photos, from the booking page. Your response goes to the GoDushi team, not to the renter, and a reviewer decides the outcome. Keep the renter conversation in the chat as normal; keep the formal response factual.
Avoiding disputes
Most disputes trace back to surprises at pickup: undisclosed damage charges, a different car, unclear deposit terms. Clear listings, honest photos and a check-in with mileage and fuel recorded make disputes rare, and easy to resolve in your favor when they do happen.
