GoDushi uses a simple split: the renter pays a 15% reservation deposit online when they book, and pays the remaining 85% directly to you at pickup. There is no payout schedule and no waiting for a transfer: the rental money goes straight from the renter to you.

The split in practice

  • Online, at booking: the renter pays 15% of the total by card, Apple Pay or iDEAL. This deposit is the GoDushi service fee; it is the only part of the booking that touches the platform.
  • At pickup: the renter pays you the balance. The exact amount is shown on the booking page for both sides, always in US dollars.

Payment methods at pickup

You choose which methods you accept in Settings → Payment methods: debit card, credit card, cash and bank transfer. Renters see your accepted methods on your listing and during checkout, so there are no surprises at the counter.

Marking the balance as collected

When the renter has paid you, mark the balance as collected. It is part of the check-in flow, and you can also do it later from the booking page. You pick the method that was used, and the booking's payment picture is complete. If you have self-billing invoices enabled, the rental invoice for the renter is generated at this moment.

Security deposit

If you ask for a security deposit (Settings → Rules), that also runs directly between you and the renter at pickup and return. GoDushi never holds it.
