How pricing works

Pricing & payouts · 1 min read

Every booking price starts from one number: your car's base price per day. You set it on the car itself (Cars → your car → Pricing). On top of that, two optional layers can adjust the price automatically. Both live in Settings → Pricing and apply to your whole fleet.

Rental days

A rental day is every started 24-hour block. A trip from Monday 10:00 to Tuesday 10:00 is one day; Monday 10:00 to Tuesday 11:00 counts as two.

Seasonal pricing

Turn on seasonal pricing and you can define high season and low season periods, each with its own percentage on top of (or below) the base price. Periods are recurring date ranges without a year: set December 15 to January 8 once and it applies every year, wrapping the new year correctly.

  • Days inside a high-season period use the high multiplier.
  • Days inside a low-season period use the low multiplier.
  • Days outside any period simply use the base price.

A booking that spans two seasons is priced day by day, so the renter pays exactly for the mix of days they book.

Length discounts

Turn on length discounts to reward longer trips. There are three tiers: 7+ days, 14+ days and 28+ days, each with its own percentage. A booking gets the highest tier it qualifies for. The discount is calculated over the seasonal day prices and rounded down to a whole dollar in your favor.

What the renter sees

The renter always sees one total for their dates, with the discount shown as a separate line. Both settings pages show live dollar examples calculated with a real car from your fleet, so you can see the effect of a change before it goes live.
